Built in 1927 our yacht pond is one of the last to remain. The boat club meet here some evenings in the summer. Bouncy castle and trampolines for the children right in the centre of this relaxing family resort with ample free parking.

For a quiet family holiday, a relaxing short stay break or just a day out, the small resort of Gorleston can provide something for all the family. We have a new state of the art lifeguard lookout so why not take a dip in the briny or a leisurely stroll on the beach, promenade, cliff top or the pier with a riverside walk to our High street? In the evening relax in one of the local pubs or visit the Olde Tyme music hall at the Gorleston Pavilion, a listed building over a century old and still putting on excellent shows. Enjoy a game of bowls, tennis or putting on the cliff top or just watch your children playing on our sandy beach. There is a play area on the cliff top, and trampolines and bouncy castle on the beach or join them on the Mia Rose exercise trail. On the riverside is an excellent enclosed children's play area with a cafe for mum and dad to enjoy a cup of tea or even a light meal. For golfers the 18 hole Gorleston golf club is situated on top of the cliffs to the south of the resort.
Enjoy a quiet game of bingo or just watch the boats coming in and out of the harbour from the pier. Then either a snack or meal in one of our cafes or restaurants offering English, Chinese, Thai or Italian meals. You can enjoy fish and chips in the cafe, on the beach or seated on the promenade. The choice is yours and you will find it all at Gorleston.
Gorleston High Street has a pleasant mix of large and smaller local owned businesses, banks, cafes and post office. There is a large free public car park at the local supermarket behind the High Street. On the seafront parking is plentiful and free.
Because of its quiet family atmosphere Gorleston is a good centre to stay for touring the surrounding area. The Norfolk Broads are within easy reach. Norwich with its museums and excellent shopping facilities is only 20 miles away. Great Yarmouth with all its entertainment and atmosphere of raz-ma-taz on the one hand and its museums and heritage on the other is 4 miles with frequent busses. Lowestoft and Oulton Broad are about 5 miles.
